This certificate gives you the flexibility to give a printed paper certificate to the recipient instead. Membership gift certificates must be redeemed for membership within six months of the issued date.

Reciprocal Admissions Program

Thanks to the American Horticultural Society’s Reciprocal Admissions Program, Green Bay Botanical Garden memberships offers free admission and/or additional benefits at more than 360 gardens throughout North America and the Cayman Islands. View a list of participating gardens, arboreta, and conservatories. Special events are excluded from Green Bay Botanical Garden’s reciprocal admissions program.

How do I renew my membership?

The fastest way to renew your membership is online. Simply log into your Garden membership account and renew today.

I’ve purchased a gift membership. Now what?

If you’ve purchased a gift membership online, we will email the digital membership cards per your instructions (there’s an option to select the date which the digital membership card email will be sent to the gift recipient).

Should you purchase a membership in-person or over the phone, an email with the digital membership card will be sent immediately sent to the recipient.

Want to keep it a surprise? You can now purchase a membership gift certificate at the Garden during normal business hours.

The gift membership is active from the purchase date. If purchasing a membership gift certificate, the membership will be active from the date the certificate is redeemed. For questions, contact our Guest Experience Team at 920.490.9457 or info@gbbg.org.

My digital membership card isn’t updating after my renewal.

For iPhones

  1. Restart your phone.
  2. Adjust the settings on the card.
  3. Open your digital membership card on your smartphone.
  4. Select the three dots in the corner to access the digital card’s settings.
  5. Turn them all off.
  6. Pause.
  7. Turn them all back on.
  8. Restart your phone.

For  Android Phones

  1. Restart your phone.
  2. Adjust the settings on the card.
  3. Open your digital membership card on your smartphone.
  4. Select the info button in the bottom corner to access the digital card’s settings.
  5. Turn them all off.
  6. Pause.
  7. Turn them all back on.
  8. Restart your phone.
  9. Check your app for updated dates and times.

I’ve purchased a new membership (online, sent in a check, or credit card). Now what?

If you are a new member and have purchased a membership online, a separate email with access to your digital membership card(s) will be sent to you within 24 hours.

If you are a new member and purchased your membership in-person at the Garden or mailed a check in and have provided us with an active email address, please allow five business days to receive your digital membership card email.

Who can visit under my membership?

A named member on the account must be present at the time of entry to take advantage of the free admission benefit. The number of entries will depend on your membership level. See our membership benefits grid for details.

I’ve renewed my membership. Now what?

Your digital membership cards will automatically update once your membership payment has processed. NOTE: If you have not downloaded your digital membership card please follow these instructions.

If you’ve requested to receive paper membership cards, cards are processed regularly every two weeks.  Your membership is active.  You can still visit the Garden by checking in with our Guest Experience Team when you arrive, even if you don’t have updated membership cards.

Please note, if you have an active email on file, you will still receive notification that you have a digital membership card. You may download at any time. 

I’ve rejoined as a member. Now what?

If you’ve rejoined as a member and have purchased a membership online, a separate email with access to your digital membership card(s) will be sent to you within 24 hours.

If you are a new member and purchased your membership in-person at the Garden or mailed a check in, please allow five business days to receive your digital membership card email.

It is the member’s responsibility to notify the Membership Team if you have not received your membership materials. 

You may still come to the Garden if you have not received your membership cards. Check in with the Guest Experience Team who can verify your membership.

Where are reciprocal gardens located? How do I use this benefit?

For a full listing of reciprocal garden’s visit the American Horticultural Society web site. Reciprocal membership covers general admission to 360+ gardens throughout North America.

We advise you to call ahead to the garden that you are visiting, share the date that you plan to visit, and ask what you can expect as a part of a participating reciprocal garden – Green Bay Botanical Garden.

Are memberships refundable?

Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable. Please keep in mind that you may still receive benefits at 360+ gardens through the American Horticultural Society reciprocal program by showing a current Green Bay Botanical Garden membership card.

Donor Advised Funds & Membership Payments

Green Bay Botanical Garden accepts gifts from Donor Advised Funds and IRAs as payment for membership. Memberships paid for by either of these methods will have all non-deductible benefits declined as required by law. The benefits include the following: Single-use Guest Passes; tickets to TasteBud; Brews, Bistros, & Bonfires; WPS Garden of Lights; Spring Signature Plant, invitations to certain member events. You may still utilize your Free Unlimited Daily Admission benefit and Free Admission to Thursday Night Sanimax Concert Series.

For gifts from Foundations, please consult with your tax advisor if you have any questions about receiving tangible benefits in exchange for your gift.

Please note that a personal payment for the non-deductible portion (bifurcated payments) is typically not permitted; please consult with your tax advisor.
