We love our wine, now let’s turn those bottles into a piece of art! Have fun painting with your friends in a relaxed group setting while following step-by-step instructions. Enjoy various beverages from the Garden’s cash bar or bring your own non-alcoholic refreshments and snacks to feed your creativity. No experience is necessary, making it a fun and creative night out! Please bring one or two empty wine bottles to class.

Amy Wilde and her company, Castle Art & Import LLC, has been importing Henna since 1997. She has facilitated workshops and programs since 2003. This program focuses on the beautiful art of Mehndi (or henna). First, Amy will enlighten you with the rich history and traditions of henna, including its uses on hair and skin. Next, she will demonstrate how to make henna paste for body art and instruct in its application. Lastly, supplies will be passed out for participants to use on each other and Amy will put a medium design on each participant.

This is a great program for all ages, parents and kids eight years old and up.

Enjoy a unique winter perspective of the Garden! Learn the basics of snowshoeing, explore the winter adaptations of the plants and search for tracks and signs of animals. Dress in layers and be prepared for hiking outdoors for about 1 hour. Snowshoes available at the Garden at no charge. Distance of hike will range from ¾-1.5 miles depending on abilities of the group. Program will be held as a hike if there isn’t enough snow for snowshoes.

Come along with Dale as he shares his travels back to Pomerania to trace his genealogy and learn about his family’s heritage in this region. We’ll visit the beautiful island of Rugen (similar to Door County), view one of the oldest gardens in Germany, the Greifswald Botanical Garden and travel to Dale’s ancestral villages. Pomerania, Slavic for “along the sea”, is an area of northern Germany and Poland reaching the Baltic Sea. It was a Prussian province from 1701 to 1947, and was absorbed into Germany and Poland following WWII.

Bring a bag lunch and join us for this FREE program. No registration required.
