Thriving Together: The Power of Wellness Gatherings in the Workplace

In today’s fast-paced world, prioritizing a positive and healthy work environment has become essential for the well-being of a company. Still, hosting large gatherings and trainings can be costly and time consuming. Is it really worth the investment? Here are just a few benefits to weigh when considering hosting a workplace wellness gathering.

Grow Deeper Roots

With a competitive job market, hiring good employees can be just as challenging as retaining them. Fostering a sense of belonging has become a large part of reducing turnover in the workplace. Wellness gatherings encourage employees to get to know each other better, creating strong and meaningful working relationships. This helps employees feel less disposable, and creates a more welcoming company culture.

Relax & Unwind

Whether it’s work struggles or personal issues, everyone encounters emotional rough patches. In the day to day, it can be challenging to keep tabs on where your employees are at, and in some cases, they may prefer not to discuss their internal battles. Wellness gatherings clearly communicate that you care about your employees’ personal well-being and support their mental and physical health journey.

Customize Your Experience

Company wellness gatherings look different for every employer and offer the opportunity for a wide range of activities and conversations.

A trip to the Garden is a great opportunity to practice mindfulness in nature. With 47 acres of green space, blooms, and sensory experiences, the Garden has plenty of space to spread out and nurture your roots.

For a more structured experience, consider inviting guest speakers or creating breakout groups. These can encourage your employees to dig deeper in their self-reflection and conversation. Additional activities to consider incorporating into your gathering include yoga in the Garden, meditation stations, and more!

If a company-wide gathering is not an option for your employees, there are still plenty of other options. Group volunteering is an option if you wish to give your employees a day reconnecting with nature and helping support the Garden’s Team too! A Corporate Membership offers your employees the opportunity to enjoy the Garden for free on our Corporate Partner Employees Days. Plus, immediate family members are free to join in on the fun! Here, they can spend the day soaking up the sun in our new Bell’s Children Garden, and enjoy the great outdoors with a picnic, stroll through our spaces, and more.

Lead by Example

Not only does a wellness gathering support your employee’s well-being, but it also clearly shows them that you support the Garden’s mission of connecting more people with plants. A day at the Garden is an investment in free educational, recreational, and cultural programming for our Northeast Wisconsin community and beyond.
