A Look at Culinary Herbs & a Few Edible Flowers
Join us in May for a fun, flavor-packed evening with our guest speaker, Jackie Johnson, as we explore the many (and delicious) ways to use culinary herbs. From herb butters and infused salts to refreshing beverages, herb sugars, and vinegars, you will leave with plenty of ideas to try at home. We will also touch on “fire cider,” the kimchi garden, and a few surprisingly easy desserts. To top it off, we will talk edible flowers — what is safe, what to avoid, and simple ways to use them.
Jackie is a garden club member, a Master Herbalist, and a long-term student of both medicinal and culinary herbs. For more than 30 years, she has studied, grown, and worked with herbs in all their forms. She holds a Doctorate in Naturopathic Studies.
