Great Wine Made Easy! Our friends at Waterford Wine will give a fun and informative series of tasting that will let you:

Each tasting will feature nine wines, with ample opportunity to gather and share impressions all around, along with knowledge, shortcuts, and cues from our session leader.  We’ll focus on varieties that are the top of the quality wine trade today, and the cultures behind them.

Join us for one session or more! Reservations required as space is limited. Two sessions remaining!

FULL: Tuesday, June 27 | Session One - The Ascendance of the Cool: Pinot Noir and Chardonnay

Now planted and admired worldwide, much of Pinot Noir’s success is newfound. This finicky grape has been carefully cultivated for centuries, and it’s considered the ultimate expression of place. And then there is Pinot Noir’s genetic descendant – the ever-popular Chardonnay, cultivated in many regions worldwide, with great diversity of taste and expression.

FULL: Tuesday, July 25 | Session Two - The Ultimate Judgment: Regal Cabernet

We’ll explore what many consider the most regal grape worldwide: Cabernet Sauvignon. Discover its greatest expression in Bordeaux, the luminaries of Napa and Sonoma, the rebel Super Tuscans, and elsewhere. And Cabernet is surrounded by a family of red grapes, such as Merlot and Malbec, that make incredible blends.

FULL: Tuesday, September 26 | Session Three - Italy’s Killer B’s: Brunello, Barolo, Barbaresco, & Beyond

In this tasting, we set off to explore the great indigenous wines of Italy. Like Barolo, revered as “the king of wines, the wine of kings”, each selection unique and stunning in its own way. We will travel from Piedmont to Puglia, experience newfound treasures, and find delight.

Tuesday, October 24 | Session Four - The Majestic Rhône & Its Disciples

Rhône grapes, Rhône Valley, Rhône-style wines, and the Rhône rangers! The Rhône is one of the classic French wine regions producing wines of great character; intense wines of noble birth. An ancestral home for Syrah, Grenache, and their blends.

Pioneering efforts in the New World have produced their own powerfully expressive “Rhône-style” wines. We will travel from South Australia to Northern Rhone and explore their many expressions red and white!

Founded in 2005 on Milwaukee’s East Side, Waterford Wine & Spirits has become a market leader, serving wine lovers from Chicago to the U.P.
