Curriculum          School Tour Registration

Enjoy a perennial adventure, the splendor of nature and the partnership between plants and people.  Green Bay Botanical Garden’s school tours are designed to provide hands-on fun through interactions with nature.  Both guided curriculum tours and self-guided tour options are available.  Schools, child care centers, preschools, scouts groups, and other children’s groups are welcome.  Spring tours are available April through June, Fall tours are available September and October and Winter tours are available January through March.

Guided Curriculum Tours
Guided tours are linked to the Wisconsin Model Academic Standards.  Many curriculum tours are also connected with STC units (Science & Technology for Children) from The Einstein Project.  Related units are indicated with an "E" and the name of the unit.

Pre- and post-visit materials are available for the guided curriculum tours.  For more information about the tours available and the pre- and post-visit materials, please visit the curriculum page

General Guided Tour
Take students through a tour of the garden to explore plants and nature. This tour offers a fun and educational experience in the garden without following a set curriculum. This tour is ideal for a multi-aged children’s group.

Get Down To Earth Tour
Come and enjoy a hands-on experience in the garden. See what it takes to make our garden grow and learn about the upkeep of the garden while helping us. This service learning project is a wonderful way to teach students about science and get them involved in the community. This program includes forty-five minutes of learning and forty-five minutes of work and the admission is free.

Self Guided Tour  - Group S.E.E.D. Packs
Groups are invited to explore the Garden at their own pace.  Enjoy a picnic lunch, play in the children’s garden, and explore our trails.  Teachers and adults are encouraged to develop their own lessons, or check out a Group S.E.E.D. Pack.  These activity filled backpacks provide hands-on opportunities with enough supplies for up to 10 children.  For more information on S.E.E.D. Packs and the themes available, please visit the S.E.E.D. Pack page
