Mom and Child Class - Garden Gates for Fairies · Tuesday, August 17 · 6-8:30 pm
David Calhoon - Swanstone Gardens
Do you know someone who believes in Fairies? Create a place for them in your garden with a charming Garden Gate. David will supply the forms, stained glass, mosaics, and fairies; all you need is the imagination of a child. Your creation will be durable for your garden, perfect for a little surprise in a dark area. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Summer Cookouts in the Garden · Wednesday, August 18 · 11-1
Have lunch at the Garden - join us on Wednesdays from 11am - 1 pm on the West Terrace for our Summer Cookouts! Purchase a sandwich, snack and beverage and get free admission to the Garden (free admission this year is Wednesdays from 4-8 pm). All proceeds benefit our Education Program.
Story Sprouts ∙ Wednesday, August 18 ∙ 1:00 pm
A story hour for all ages! Stop by the Children’s Garden at Green Bay Botanical Garden and enjoy a nature themed story. Then stay and play in the Children’s Garden – a place of discovery and imagination. Story Sprouts is FREE with admission to the Garden (general admission: $7/adults; $2/children ages 5-12; GBBG members and children 4 and under are FREE).

Concert in the Garden • Thursday, August 19 · 6-7:30 pm
Enjoy Bay Area Big Band in the beautiful setting of the Agnes Schneider Terrace. Pack a picnic dinner and a lawn chair and enjoy an evening at the Garden. Food and refreshments available for purchase from Alpha Delights and LaJava. Popcorn, soda and water also available. Concert included with admission to the Garden. Garden Admission: $7 adults; $5 seniors (65+); $2 children ages 5-12; children 4 and under – FREE.
Power Yoga at Sunset · Saturday, August 21 · 6-7 pm
Matthew Kimmeth - The Fitness Firm (www.myfitnessfirm.com)
Join certified fitness professional Matthew D. Kimmeth of The Fitness Firm for an evening of power yoga in the Garden. Power yoga is a general term used in the West to describe a vigorous, fitness-based approach to vinyasa-style yoga. This advanced class will push participants to the limits of their muscular endurance and flexibility. Enjoy the sunset while you burn calories, shape your body, and challenge your concentration. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat or beach towel to work on. Ages young adult and up. Class held indoors in case of poor weather. Budding Buddies - Worm's Best Friend - Saturday, August 21 or Monday, August 23 · 10:30-11:30 am
Read the story of Bob and Otto and create a worm bookmark to be your friend while reading at home. Suitable for children ages 3-6 years; class is designed for adults to participate with their buddies. Projects may include “messy” fun, so please dress accordingly. Cost: GBBG Members - $3/child; Non-Members - $6/child; Pre-registration required.
NEW SERIES! Garden Walk – Garden Hardscapes ∙ Wednesday, August 25 ∙ 10-11 am
Join Green Bay Botanical Garden Horticulture staff and instructors for a stroll through our Gardens in bloom. Join us as we tour the Garden’s hardscapes. During the walk, there will be plenty of time for questions and discussions with the instructors and other participants. Each participant will be entered into a drawing to receive a plant of the week after each walk. Walks held rain or shine, please dress appropriately. In case of severe weather, walk will be cancelled. Meet in Visitors' Center Lobby. GBBG Members: $5; Non-Members: $12; Pre-registration is required – Limit 20

Weed N’ Feed ∙ Wednesday, September 1 ∙ 5-8 pm
Join us for our popular Weed N' Feed program on Wednesday evenings. You weed (or do other garden chores) from 5-7 pm and we feed from 7-8 pm. Weed N' Feed evenings are on a “come as you can basis,” however, notifying us of your attendance will allow us to be sure to have enough food available (please RSVP to our Volunteer Coordinator, Aubrey Brennan at (920) 491-3691 ext. 113 or abrennan@gbbg.org). You are also asked to bring gardening hand tools, if possible, and work gloves as we have a limited supply.
Family Weed N’ Feed • Wednesday, September 1 · 6-8 pm

15th Anniversary Celebration featuring Art Harvest · Saturday, September 11 · 9 am to 5 pm
Calling all artists! Join Wisconsin’s fine artists and craftspeople for an art fair at Green Bay Botanical Garden. Celebrate our 15th Anniversary, art and the change of the season in the setting of the Magnolia Grove. Check out the annual hosta, daylily and native plant sales. See beautiful roses displayed by the NEW Rose Society. Entertainment by harpist, Cheryl Murphy and Jeanne Kuhns and George Sawyn. Food and refreshments will be available. FREE admission for all!
Leaf Casting ∙ Tuesday, September 14 ∙ 6-9 pm
David Calhoon – Swanstone Gardens
Leaf casting captures the natural depressions and veins of a leaf with life-like detail in cement. David will provide all the materials and teach you the steps to make your own cast. Bring a leaf from your favorite hosta or rhubarb and turn it into a beautiful, long-lasting garden decoration. GBBG Members: $40; Non-members: $48; Pre-registration required – Limit 20

Lisa Stubbe – Landscape Artisans
Learn what Green Bay gardener Lisa Stubbe does to put her garden to bed before a blanket of winter cold drapes the landscape. Lisa shares her experience gardening and landscaping in the Green Bay area, on topics from cutting back perennials, to cleaning tools to winter mulching. Bring the whole family for this fun filled day at the Garden! David Wright – NWTC Landscape/Horticulture Instructor
Every gardener dreams of having a garden that takes care of itself. However, there always seems to be something that needs watering, dividing, or cutting back. If you want to reduce the time spent tending your garden and increase the time you spend enjoying it, ornamental grasses might be the answer. Join experienced gardener and NWTC Landscape/Horticulture Instructor David Wright as he introduces many types of ornamental grasses that are both beautiful and require relatively little care.
