Family Gardening Programs


Peas In A Pod

Encourage your family to eat more fresh veggies by growing your own! We'll guide you through the steps of garden planning and planting, share tips for watering and weeding and you'll harvest the benefits with your family.

Join us to receive:

  • 5' by 8' gardening plot
  • Wide selection of plants and seeds
  • Planting orientation with staff assistance for garden planning and planting
  • Garden Guide filled with helpful tips and reminders 

Planting Orientations:

Saturday, May 17; 9–10:30 am
Saturday, May 17; 10:30–Noon
Tuesday, May 20; 4:30–6 pm

GBBG Members: $65
Non-Members: $115 (includes Basic Membership)
Pre-registration required – Limit 20 families

Grow & Learn Containers

Experience the joy of growing veggies in container gardens at home! Attend a planting orientation to receive 2 self-watering containers (to be returned at the end of the growing season), soil, plants, seeds and a Gardening Guide. We'll guide you through the steps of garden planning and planting, share tips for watering and weeding and you'll harvest the benefits with your family.
