Christine Kosiorek – Vande Hey Company
Bio: For the past fourteen years, Christine Kosiorek has been designing landscapes. Her inspiration started during her educational years at the University of Wisconsin at River Falls. Through her horticultural studies, Christine gained an appreciation for woody ornamentals and herbaceous perennials. In her agricultural engineering classes, she gained an understanding of surveying, landscape construction and computer drafting. She also had the opportunity to apply these skills during her summers as a landscape laborer. Upon graduation, Christine joined the landscape design team at the Vande Hey Company, Inc. Here she applied her horticulture and agricultural engineering skills to developing her landscape design skills. She has moved from designing small scale planting beds to developing complex drainage plans and retaining wall systems, designing master plans for high profile homes and creating intricate design patterns in patios through the use of paver quilting. She has strong site surveying skills and has enjoyed finding plant combinations that work for the different site conditions that each project offers. Christine acquired her landscape architecture license with the state of Wisconsin in 2011. She has designed landscapes that offer the opportunity to use three-dimensional computer aided drafting. Most recently, Christine has enjoyed designing backyard spaces that accentuate the existing site features to create a harmonious and tranquil environment where the homeowners can relax and entertain. When out of the office, Christine volunteers at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center.
