Growing Blueberries in Containers

Instructor: Vijai Pandian - Brown County UW Horticulture Extension Educator

Rich in antioxidants, blueberries are one of the most popular berry crops among gardeners. However, the high alkaline soil condition in most Wisconsin regions doesn't offer a favorable growing condition for blueberries. Vijai offers a simple technique to grow blueberries in a container with soilless media that can be easily amended with acid fertilizer. This presentation will teach the recipe in preparing soilless media, cultivar selections, pruning and general maintenance. Minimum of 10 needed to run this class.
