*CANCELLED* Basic Concepts of Ikebana Arrangements

Ikebana is the Japanese art of arranging flowers using natural materials. The class will introduce the basic concept of Ikebana arrangement. Class will be taught by Kaz, an instructor from the Ikenobo Ikebana School, which was established in the 1500s, and was the first Ikebana school in Japan. Please bring a 10-12 in., shallow (1.5-2 in.) flat bottomed, colored container, scissors and a 2 inch kensan, commonly known as a frog. Frogs can be purchased separately in the gift shop prior to the day of class for about $18. Minimum of 15 needed to hold this class.
