En plein air artists can enjoy free admission on Tuesdays from 9 am-4 pm all summer long! Bring your paints and supplies with you, find the perfect spot and create your next masterpiece.

Submit your work!
1. You may enter up to 3 pieces in a juried show, with accepted art to be on exhibit in the Lois O’Harrow Gallery in the Garden during its winter exhibit (November to May 2018).
2. You may create any size or shape, but all submissions must be wall-ready.
3. All pieces to be juried in November 2017 and will be hung immediately following.

Let the midsummer garden be your inspiration! Learn to make your painted flowers come alive with sparkling highlights, vibrant colors and rich backgrounds. Flower studies, creating tissue texture backgrounds, brushwork, negative painting and thoughtful compositions will be used to create close-up studies and landscape views. Includes classroom instruction, plus time to roam the garden and get inspired or paint plein air. Best for painters with watercolor experience.

Materials not included. Use your favorite supplies or Bridget’s Supply List. Bring a bag lunch. Minimum of 11 needed to run this class.

Steve Schultz, Steve’s Leaves

Have you ever wanted to make a beautiful and colorful accent for your garden or as a gift for that gardener in your life?  Steve Schultz, owner of Steve’s Leaves, will share his technique on creating beautiful cement leaves that can be used as birdfeeders, bird baths or patio accents.  In this workshop, you will make a cement leaf that will cure for a few days at the Garden. Steve will also share his unique approach to painting leaves that you can do at home. You will enjoy Steve’s fun and humorous approach to this craft!

Bring disposable rubber gloves, all other materials will be provided.
