En Plein Air Artist Tuesdays @ Green Bay Botanical Garden
Cost: FREE for all plein air artists

During the summer season, leave your studio walls behind and get inspired by the lush landscapes and colorful plant varieties at the Garden. En plein air artists can enjoy free admission on Tuesdays from 9 am-4 pm all summer long! Bring your paints and supplies with you, find the perfect spot and create your next masterpiece.

Submit your work!
1. You may enter up to 3 pieces in a juried show, with accepted art to be on exhibit in the Lois O’Harrow Gallery in the Garden during its winter exhibit (November to May 2018).
2. You may create any size or shape, but all submissions must be wall-ready.
3. All pieces to be juried in November 2017 and will be hung immediately following.

Botanical Drawing @ Green Bay Botanical Garden
Cost: $22/GBBG Member; $26/Non-Member

Lynn Grzywa, Art Teacher, Howard-Suamico School District

This adult beginning drawing class will help you learn the basics of still-life drawing. Draw botanicals of your choice, paying close attention to the light source. Learn how to add shading so your art looks three dimensional. Each student will leave with two completed sketches about 8 x 10 in size and some unique drawing strategies to help build your skills.

All supplies will be provided, no prior experience necessary.

Join as as we explore one of newest local food movements in Green Bay. The Farmory aims to bring local, sustainable and indoor agriculture to Green Bay and the larger Northeast Wisconsin region. By converting an empty former armory building into a 20,000 square foot indoor farm powered by fish and grow lights, The Farmory will offer fresh produce to the local food system year-round, and provide area residents with educational resources on sustainability and self-sufficiency.

When completed, The Farmory will be a self-sustaining nonprofit organization, supplying fresh produce, mushrooms and fish year-round to local residents and restaurants, and offering a wide array of tours and workshops to Green Bay area residents.
