Something’s Brewing – Beer! – Tuesday, January 17, 6-7:30 pm
Instructors: House of Homebrew Staff and Titletown Brewery Staff
In keeping with the horticultural roots of the world’s second most popular beverage, join us for a celebration of beer from farm to table. House of Homebrew will give an overview of the equipment and supplies needed to brew your own beer, and local brewmasters and Titletown staff will focus on the art of the microbrew. Following a short tour of Titletown brewery, there will be a discussion (with sampling!) on four of the brewery’s signature beers. Class will be held at Titletown Brewery. By the Garden Pendant – Wire Wrapping – Tuesday, January 24, 6-7:30 pm
Instructor: Shelli Peters, The Mother Bead Staff
Join Shelli to learn how to create your own one of a kind pendant. Combine the beautiful colors of a garden to create the focal component. Shelli will teach you the technique of wire wrapping and provide the tools to create your own special pendant. The wire and beads will be provided in the cost of this class. Everyone will leave with a completed piece of jewelry. Join us for a fun and creative evening! Chains, leather and cords will be available for purchase on the night of the class. Come out to the Garden for an afternoon of snowshoeing, skiing or hiking. At 5:30 come indoors, where it’s warm, to enjoy homemade soups, breads and desserts. A short garden-related presentation featuring, Phenology: The What and When of Nature by Dennis Prusik. The evening will end with live music performed by Lee Alex & Lloyd Gosz (Musical Comedy & Variety Show) GBBG Members: $10; Non-Members: $15; At the door: GBBG Members: $12; Non-Members: $17
Travelogue: Traveling Italy by Train – Wednesday, February 1, 12-1 pm

Live la dolce vita vicariously through Cindy and Jim Brazeau as they share their adventures traveling around Italy via train. From the ancient architecture of Rome and Pompeii to the culture of Florence and Lucca, the natural beauty of the coastal villages near Cinque Terre and the Amalfi Coast to the grand canals of Venice, experience the vibrant energy and striking splendor of Italy at its finest.
Tropical Orchids for Beginners – Tuesday, February 7, 6:30-8 pm

What plant grows on every continent except Antarctica? Orchids! It is possible to grow Orchids in your own home, even here in the Frozen Tundra! This class will give you the know-how to grow any of the amazing varieties of orchids in your own home. Learn about the supplies and fertilizers needed to help this exceptional plant blossom, as well as the pests and diseases that could foil your best efforts. Let’s Move Series: Make Tracks! – Saturday, February 11, 10-11:30 am
Instructor: Kelle Hartman, GBBG Children & Family Educator
Did you know you can learn a lot about animals in the Garden just by following in their footsteps? Learn how to track animals and get out into the snow to find some footprints. You’ll even make a plaster track to take home. Class includes an outdoor hike, so please dress appropriately. GBBG Members $10/family; Non-Members $15/family; Pre-registration required – Limit 30
Travelogue: Tour of Germany and Austria – Wednesday, February 15, 12-1 pm

Enjoy a unique visual tour of Austria and Germany. Delight in the beautiful Bavarian Alps, the enchanting city of Salzburg, Austria where The Sound of Music was filmed, and Oberammergau, Germany where the whole city performs the Passion Play every ten years. You will be enchanted by the well-preserved walled cities and the many beautiful castles in Austria, as well as the highlights from Innsbruck and the Alps of Northern Italy.
Botanical Wrap Pendant – Wire Wrapping – Thursday, February 23, 6-7:30 pm
Instructor: Shelli Peters, The Mother Bead Staff

Travelogue: Leap the Pond – to Michigan – Wednesday, February 29, 12-1 pm

Enjoy a visit to our eastern neighbor and tour the gardens of Michigan. Explore Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park, Dow Gardens, and The Michigan 4-H Children’s Garden through the eyes of a child. Visit the Michigan State University Horticulture Gardens including their Annual Trial Garden, Perennial Garden, and Landscape Arboretum, and enjoy a stop at the oldest university garden in the country – Beal Botanical Garden.
Ikebana, Quilt Show & Embroidery Guild Show
Friday, March 2 & Saturday, March 3; 9 am-4 pm
The traditional Japanese art of floral arranging will be demonstrated and displayed by local practitioners. Also featured are quilt works from the local quilters group, “Women Who Run With Scissors” showcasing botanically themed fiber art. Green Bay Area Chapter of the Embroiderers' Guild of America will also be having an exhibit of their member's needlework, sharing their passion for this fine art form.
