Ikebana Show, Quilt Show & Embroidery Guild Show at the Garden

Green Bay Botanical Garden presents Annual Ikebana Show, NEW Quilt Show & Embroidery Guild Show

(Green Bay, WI) – Three wonderful art groups are being featured Friday, March 2 and Saturday, March 3 at Green Bay Botanical Garden. The event is free for all from 9 am-4 pm. Guests can meet the artists at the Garden during a reception from 5:30-7:30 pm on Friday. 

The Ikenobo tradition of Ikebana, the traditional Japanese art of floral arranging, will be demonstrated and displayed by local practitioners. Floral demonstrations begin at 11 am and 1 pm Friday and Saturday followed by a tea ceremony scheduled for 11:30 am and 1:30 pm Friday and Saturday. This show provides an opportunity for the community to discover and learn about this fascinating, centuries-old Japanese art of arranging flowers.

NEW: Quilt works from the local quilters group, ‘Women Who Run with Scissors,’ will be showcasing botanically themed fiber art. 

NEW: Green Bay Area Chapter of the Embroiderers' Guild of America will display their members' needlework and share their passion for this fine art form. Included will be a boutique, demonstrations by their members and tea room. Many forms of needle art will be displayed including embroidery, cross stitch, tatting, beading, canvas work, bargello, crewel and hardanger.

Admission is FREE to all!
